So what am I carrying with me while I run? Here is the required kit list. As most of you know me, you know that I will be carrying a couple of extra gadgets….
They don’t mention water. I will be taking either a 2 or 3 litre bladder with water in, and a couple of pouches with Lucozade (or similar) in. I prefer the Powerbar (who are sponsoring the event – hence the link…) drinks, but haven’t found them in the shops as a pouch.
Food wise – I am taking a mixture of bars to prevent boredom: PowerBar standard, Powerbar Protein and PowerBar Harvest, Nakd bars and Trek Bars. Oh and some bananas.

Whats’s all this poncy Powerbar nonsense? You should do it on Woodbines, brandy and amphetamines like the good old days …

Clearly we will have woodbines and brandy too. I thought that they were too obvious to mention.
Just don’t do drugs kids.

Oh, and I’m wondering if you actually take (and even eat?) mint cake, or is it on the list just because someone remembers it from the “good old days”?

I have to say we didn’t take ANY mint cake. But then Powerbar did provide rather a bag full of their stuff. I can’t remember the last time I saw anyone on a mountain eat KMC!
